Export of waste or scrap containing platinum as sole precious metal from Thailand: Drop in 2016

According to refreshed figures presented by United Nations Statistical Office, in comparison with the previous year platinum export greatly declined by 84 percent. Platinum export went down strongly from 177 123 kilogram to 28 343 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it decreased by 34.01 percent. The overall changes for the previous 24 years attained a raise of 566 760%. Besides, it has shown the CAGR of 0.18% during the last five years with a marginal overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 43 668.17 kilogram from 1993 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 268 426 kilogram in 2014 and record low of 1 kilogram in 1994.
