In 2017 flax yarn export grew sharply by 104.1 percent, revised data from European Commission reveal. Flax yarn export strongly rose from 114 700 kilogram to 234 100 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it increased by 6.6%. It attained its 13-year maximum. The overall changes for the prior 13 years hit a rise of 385.68%. Besides, it has shown a growth at a 0.23 percent compound annual growth rate during the last five years with a negligible overall increase since the 2005. It averaged 100 515.38 kilogram from 2005 to 2017 and it reached its minimum of 48 200 kilogram in 2005.
