Gas and diesel demand in Kuwait goes down in May 2018

According to revised data announced by JODI Data, gas and diesel oil demand decreased negligibly by 0.36 percent compared with the previous month. Gas and diesel oil demand hardly declined by 0.81 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the prior month when it went down by 1.47 percent. When looking at 2017, it can be noticed that the indicator was going up by 5.49% and reached 205.27 thousand tonnes in May. In short, the variable was 10.2% higher in May 2017 than in May of the year after. Kuwait saw an increase of 350.01% in gas and diesel oil demand during the last 16 years. Moreover, the gas and diesel oil demand is now above average of 172.33 thousand tonnes with a sharp overall raise since the start of observations. It attained its all-time high of 494.32 thousand tonnes in January 2011 and record low of 4.19 thousand tonnes in May 2004.
