Gas and diesel demand in Kuwait declines in May 2018

JODI Data reported that compared with the previous month gas and diesel oil demand barely declined by 0.36 percent. The indicator decreased hardly from 227.03 thousand tonnes to 226.22 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the prior month when it went down by 1.47%. In May of the year before, the variable rose by 5.49% and reached 205.27 thousand tonnes. When looking at the year-on-year picture, a 10.2 percent increase can be observed between May 2017 and May of the year after. The overall changes for the previous 16 years attained a rise of 350.01%. Compared to its average, the gas and diesel oil demand is now greater as the mean equals 172.33 thousand tonnes with a strong overall growth since the 2002. It hit its all-time high of 494.32 thousand tonnes in January 2011 and record low of 4.19 thousand tonnes in May 2004.
