In comparison to the previous year flax yarn export sharply fell by 37.07%, according to new numbers published by European Commission. The variable greatly went down from 1 376 940 Euro in 2015 to 866 540 Euro prior year, versus the previous year when it went up by 5.17%. Portugal saw a growth of 48 582.02% in flax yarn export during the last 14 years. Still it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.04% during the five years with a modest overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 513 790.71 Euro from 2003 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 1 927 750 Euro in 2013 and record low of 20 Euro in 2006.
