Fuel oil demand in Ireland rises in May 2018

According to adjusted figures published by JODI Data, fuel oil demand increased sharply by 50 percent in May 2018. The indicator climbed strongly by 19.35 thousand barrels, versus the previous month when it fell by 53.85%. In May 2017 the fuel oil demand attained 51.6 thousand barrels, thus remaining steady in comparison to April of 2017. In short, the variable was 12.5 percent larger in May 2017 than in the same month in 2018. The overall changes for the prior 16 years reached a decrease of 95.91%. Besides, the fuel oil demand is now lower than its average which equals 332.52 thousand barrels with a modest overall decline since the 2002. It hit its all-time high of 1 419 thousand barrels in January 2002 and record low of 38.7 thousand barrels in April 2018.
