Import of fresh or chilled tomatoes to Europe: Rise in 2017

According to figures released by United Nations Statistical Office, tomatoes import increased by 8.21 percent in 2017. It's new all-time high since 2000 as tomatoes import climbed by 43 092 672 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it rose by 9.21 percent. The overall changes for the prior 18 years attained a rise of 173.73%. As well as it has had an increase at a 0.05 percent compound annual growth rate during the last five years with a negligible overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 414 661 025.78 kilogram from 2000 to 2017 and it hit its minimum of 207 543 936 kilogram in 2000.
