Production of salt suitable for human consumption in Finland: Decline in 2017

In comparison to 2016 the indicator dropped slightly by 1.09%, updated statistics from European Commission illustrate. Condiment production declined barely from 3 382 313 kilogram to 3 345 548 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it decreased by 3.55 percent. Finland saw an increase of 45.36% in condiment production during the last 10 years. Besides, it has attained a 0.05 percent average annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a marginal overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 2 779 229.7 kilogram from 2008 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 3 506 639 kilogram in 2015 and record low of 2 301 578 kilogram in 2008.
