Import of shelled walnuts to Namibia grows in 2016

According to data published by United Nations Statistical Office, walnuts import grew negligibly by 0.97 percent compared with the same time an year ago. Walnuts import hardly went up from 3 488 kilogram in 2015 to 3 522 kilogram prior year, in contrast to the previous year when it diminished by 38.72%. The overall changes for the prior 17 years attained a rise of 1 553.52%. However, it has shown a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.36% during the last 5 years with a marginal overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 3 936.41 kilogram from 2000 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 32 139 kilogram in 2012 and record low of 6 kilogram in 2001.
