Import of starches to Lithuania drops in 2017

In comparison with the prior year the indicator went down by 22.56%, according to updated data published by European Commission. Food waste import dropped by 32 800 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it fell by 89.53 percent. Lithuania saw a diminution of 69.6% in food waste import during the last 18 years. Likewise, it has had a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.4% over the last 5 years with a slight overall growth since the 2000. It averaged 457 922.22 kilogram from 2000 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 1 479 000 kilogram in 2013 and record low of 48 900 kilogram in 2010.
