Import of mercuric oxide primary cell and primary battery to Costa Rica: Drop in 2016

The indicator diminished sharply by 89.57 percent in comparison with the previous year, according to adjusted figures released by United Nations Statistical Office. Battery import greatly declined by 756 kilogram, versus the prior year when it grew by 2 121.05 percent. Costa Rica saw a decrease of 86.9% in battery import over the past 23 years. Furthermore, it has attained a 0.47 percent CAGR during the last 5 years with a marginal overall diminution since the start of observations. It averaged 465.22 kilogram from 1994 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 2 816 kilogram in 2005 and record low of 7 kilogram in 2010.
