Export of cork screws, nut-crackers and other household tools from Rwanda falls in 2016

Consumer goods export sharply decreased by 94.91% compared with the same time an year ago, new data from United Nations Statistical Office reveal. The indicator went down strongly by 1 883 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it fell by 24.59%. Rwanda saw a fall of 66.33% in consumer goods export during the last 16 years. Besides, it has had a negative average annual growth rate of 0.47 percent over the five years with a slight overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 474.5 kilogram from 2001 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 2 631 kilogram in 2014 and record low of 30 kilogram in 2005.
