Import of whole milk powder or full cream powder in immediate packings exceeding 2,5 kg to Latvia declines in 2017

According to statistics announced by European Commission, milk powder import dropped sharply by 44.02% compared to the prior year. The indicator went down greatly by 1 029 600 kilogram, in comparison to the previous year when it climbed by 384.1%. Latvia saw an increase of 174.21% in milk powder import over the past 13 years. Besides, it has attained a 0.38 percent compound annual growth rate during the five years with a marginal overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 529 553.85 kilogram from 2005 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 2 338 700 kilogram in 2016 and record low of 29 600 kilogram in 2010.
