European Commission announced that the indicator diminished by 14.06 percent compared to the prior year. Flax yarn import went down by 134 180 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it fell by 3.79%. Hungary saw a decline of 40.34% in flax yarn import over the past 15 years. Besides, it has had a drop at a 0.03 percent compound annual growth rate during the five years with a marginal overall fall since the start of time series. It averaged 1 137 926 Euro from 2003 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 2 212 760 Euro in 2005 and record low of 649 910 Euro in 2009.
