Import of medicaments of other antibiotics not packaged for retail sale to Slovakia declines in 2017

European Commission announced that the indicator diminished by 8.96% in comparison to the previous year. Antibiotic import fell by 218 330 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it dropped by 49.75 percent. Slovakia saw a growth of 625.17% in antibiotic import over the past 19 years. Furthermore, it has had the average annual growth rate of 0.05 percent during the last five years with a negligible overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 1 267 555.79 Euro from 1999 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 4 847 570 Euro in 2015 and record low of 46 760 Euro in 2009.
