Export of medicaments containing insulin but not antibiotics for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, not put up in measured doses or for retail sale from Latvia: Drop in 2017

Insulin export greatly went down by 67.14% in 2017, updated data from European Commission reveal. It hit its 17-year low as insulin export dropped strongly from 700 Euro to 230 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it diminished by 99.42%. The overall changes for the previous 17 years attained a decrease of 99.61%. Furthermore, it has had a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.88 percent during the five years with a modest overall raise since the 2001. It averaged 70 380 Euro from 2001 to 2017 and it reached its maximum of 1 017 240 Euro in 2014.
