Re-import of railway maintenance-of-way service vehicles to Canada declines in 2016

The indicator greatly fell by 69.17% compared with the prior year, according to data issued by United Nations Statistical Office. Railway transport import sharply dropped from 27 604 kilogram in 2015 to 8 509 kilogram previous year, compared to the prior year when it increased by 173.5 percent. The overall changes for the previous 17 years reached a growth of 425 350%. Likewise, it has had the compound average annual growth rate of 0.25% over the last 5 years with a marginal overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 10 850.47 kilogram from 2000 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 29 627 kilogram in 2011 and record low of 1 kilogram in 2001.
