Export of self-contained window or wall types air conditioners from Sri Lanka climbs in 2016

Industrial equipment export greatly increased by 68.54 percent in 2016, refreshed data from United Nations Statistical Office constitute. The indicator sharply went up from 28 573 kilogram in 2015 to 48 156 kilogram prior year, versus the previous year when it declined by 22.82%. Sri Lanka saw a raise of 1 445.44% in industrial equipment export over the past 17 years. As well as it has had the average annual growth rate of 0.38% over the last five years with a slight overall rise since the 2000. It averaged 34 880.94 kilogram from 2000 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 162 115 kilogram in 2007 and record low of 40 kilogram in 2009.
