Import of medicaments of other antibiotics not packaged for retail sale to Cyprus: Growth in 2017

According to revised statistics presented by European Commission, in 2017 antibiotic import grew greatly by 1 000.93%. The indicator rose sharply from 29 980 Euro in 2016 to 330 060 Euro prior year, compared with the previous year when it dropped by 73.03 percent. Cyprus saw a rise of 78.18% in antibiotic import over the past 15 years. Furthermore, it has shown a 0.07 percent compound annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a negligible overall diminution since the start of observations. It averaged 679 493.33 Euro from 2003 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 1 409 890 Euro in 2012 and record low of 29 980 Euro in 2016.
