Import of hooks, eyes, eyelets, for clothing, footwear, bags of base metal to Malta goes up in 2016

Consumer goods import sharply went up by 45.68% in 2016, according to statistics published by United Nations Statistical Office. Consumer goods import rose strongly from 5 278 kilogram in 2015 to 7 689 kilogram previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it increased by 70.7 percent. The overall changes for the previous 17 years attained a decrease of 63.72%. Furthermore, it has attained a rise at a 0.26 percent CAGR over the last 5 years with a marginal overall diminution since the start of observations. It averaged 11 001.65 kilogram from 2000 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 37 505 kilogram in 2004 and record low of 1 468 kilogram in 2009.
