Import of maple sugar and maple syrup to Russia: Drop in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office announced that in 2017 the indicator diminished barely by 0.3%. The variable slightly dropped by 171 kilogram, versus the prior year when it went up by 25.81 percent. Russia saw an increase of 17.38% in maple syrup import during the last 22 years. However, it has attained a drop at a 0.03 percent average annual growth rate over the five years with a marginal overall decline since the start of time series. It averaged 58 600.68 kilogram from 1996 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 285 295 kilogram in 2000 and record low of 6 919 kilogram in 2001.
