Secondary refined lead production in Mexico drops in 2014

The indicator sharply declined by 35 percent in comparison with the previous year, according to figures announced by U.S. Geological Survey. Lead production strongly diminished from 300 000 metric ton to 195 000 metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went down by 0.99 percent. The overall changes for the previous 17 years reached a rise of 1 850%. Moreover, it has attained a 0.02 percent average annual growth rate during the 5 years with a negligible overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 146 882.35 metric ton from 1998 to 2014 and it attained its all-time high of 303 000 metric ton in 2012 and record low of 10 000 metric ton in 1998.
