Raw silk exports in China grows in 2017

According to figures published by China National Statistical Office, raw silk exports grew hardly by 4.1% compared to 2016. The indicator negligibly went up by 283.84 ton, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it rose by 3.47%. The overall changes for the previous 24 years attained a decline of 44.79%. Besides, it has attained the compound average annual growth rate of 0.02 percent over the last five years with a modest overall diminution since the start of time series. It averaged 10 215.92 ton from 1994 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 14 701 ton in 2002 and record low of 6 359.31 ton in 2014.
