Flax yarn import dropped sharply by 37.69 percent compared to the prior year, according to adjusted data issued by European Commission. The indicator greatly diminished by 76 700 kilogram, versus the previous year when it rose by 166.01 percent. The overall changes for the prior 14 years attained a drop of 23.2%. Moreover, it has had a rise at a 0.35 percent compound annual growth rate during the 5 years with a slight overall decrease since the start of observations. It averaged 166 285.71 kilogram from 2003 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 595 700 kilogram in 2007 and record low of 600 kilogram in 2009.
