Fuel oil demand in Cyprus: Decrease in April 2018

According to refreshed data published by JODI Data, compared with the prior month the indicator diminished by 10.08 percent. The variable went down by 1.63 thousand barrels per day, as it follows the tendency of the previous month when it dropped by 7.27 percent. The same month one year earlier, the indicator declined by -11.98 percent and hit 14.95 thousand barrels per day. When looking at the year-on-year situation, a -2.9 percent decline can be diagnosed between April 2017 and April of the year after. The overall changes for the prior 16 years reached a drop of 15.59%. Besides, the fuel oil demand is now lower than its average which equals 20.29 thousand barrels per day with a overall diminution since the start of observations. It attained its all-time high of 32.5 thousand barrels per day in July 2008 and record low of 11.14 thousand barrels per day in February 2013.
