Import of medicaments of other antibiotics not packaged for retail sale to Portugal: Growth in 2017

Antibiotic import increased sharply by 73.89% compared to the previous year, according to data issued by European Commission. Antibiotic import strongly climbed by 1 213 360 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went up by 13.13 percent. Portugal saw a growth of 574.41% in antibiotic import over the past 23 years. Moreover, it has had a 0.21 percent CAGR over the 5 years with a negligible overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 1 834 728.26 Euro from 1995 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 9 720 430 Euro in 1999 and record low of 35 290 Euro in 2003.
