Gas and diesel refinery output in Australia: Decrease in June 2018

The indicator diminished by 5.79 percent compared to the previous month, updated numbers from JODI Data present. Gas and diesel oil production decreased from 674 thousand tonnes to 635 thousand tonnes, versus the prior month when it grew by 4.17%. In 2017, the variable was declining by -4.01 percent and reached 623 thousand tonnes the same month the year before. This displays a 1.93% change between June 2017 and the same month in 2018. Australia saw a decline of 31.5% in gas and diesel oil production over the past 16 years. Furthermore, the gas and diesel oil production is now smaller than its average which equals 811.51 thousand tonnes with a moderate overall decrease since the start of time series. It attained its all-time high of 1 078 thousand tonnes in December 2004 and record low of 466 thousand tonnes in March 2017.
