Import of silk yarn except from waste to Latvia rises in 2016

United Nations Statistical Office announced that in comparison with the prior year the indicator greatly rose by 85.71%. Silk import grew strongly from 14 kilogram to 26 kilogram, contrarily to the previous year when it dropped by 99.92%. The overall changes for the prior 21 years attained a fall of 94.8%. Moreover, it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.73 percent during the 5 years with a marginal overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 5 526.9 kilogram from 1996 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 78 660 kilogram in 2013 and record low of 2 kilogram in 2005.
