Fuel oil demand in Azerbaijan: Drop in March 2018

According to numbers published by JODI Data, the indicator diminished sharply by 56.1 percent compared with the prior month. Fuel oil demand strongly went down by 23 thousand tonnes, in comparison with the previous month when it grew by 10.81%. One year earlier, this fluctuation attained -43.85% and the fuel oil demand hit 73 thousand tonnes in March 2017. Year-on-year, this pinpoints a -75.34% shift between March 2017 and the same month the year after. Azerbaijan saw a decline of 84.75% in fuel oil demand over the past 16 years. As well as the fuel oil demand is now lower than its average which equals 84.58 thousand tonnes with a moderate overall decrease since the start of time series. It reached its all-time high of 319 thousand tonnes in January 2007 and record low of 1 thousand tonnes in August 2016.
