Sold production of frozen hams, shoulders and cuts of pig meat in Italy increases in 2016

Pig meat sold production rose sharply by 37.56% compared to the prior year, new data from European Commission demonstrate. The variable strongly grew from 11 809 000 Euro in 2015 to 16 245 000 Euro previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went up by 37.94%. Italy saw a decrease of 12.44% in pig meat sold production during the last 17 years. Furthermore, it has shown a growth at a 0.05% compound average annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a negligible overall drop since the 2000. It averaged 16 343 765.76 Euro from 2000 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 25 917 356 Euro in 2002 and record low of 5 546 000 Euro in 2006.
