Import of petroleum bitumen to Iceland increases in 2017

In 2017 petroleum bitumen import negligibly went up by 0.98 percent, new numbers from United Nations Statistical Office constitute. Petroleum bitumen import climbed slightly from 5 715 567 US Dollar in 2016 to 5 771 628.5 US Dollar previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it grew by 23.89%. The overall changes for the previous 30 years reached a rise of 197.47%. Still it has had a decline at a 0.12 percent average annual growth rate during the five years with a marginal overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 5 543 052.52 US Dollar from 1988 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 15 126 001 US Dollar in 2008 and record low of 880 088 US Dollar in 1994.
