Export of fresh foliage, branches for bouquets from Tunisia decreases in 2016

In 2016 flower export strongly diminished by 34.63 percent, updated figures from United Nations Statistical Office show. Flower export dropped greatly from 738 062 kilogram in 2015 to 482 462 kilogram previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it declined by 13.32%. Tunisia saw a growth of 5 224.01% in flower export during the last 26 years. Though, it has had a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.03 percent during the 5 years with a slight overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 480 199.5 kilogram from 1991 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 1 718 725 kilogram in 2010 and record low of 242 kilogram in 1998.
