Import of horse, ass, mule, hinny meat to Romania decreases in 2017

In comparison to the prior year horse meat import declined sharply by 91.68%, adjusted statistics from United Nations Statistical Office reveal. It hit its 14-year minimum as the indicator fell greatly from 85 291 US Dollar to 7 097 US Dollar, versus the previous year when it rose by 4.26%. Romania saw a diminution of 86.19% in horse meat import during the last 14 years. Furthermore, it has attained a decline at a 0.34 percent average annual growth rate during the last five years with a marginal overall drop since the start of observations. It averaged 106 274 US Dollar from 2004 to 2017 and it reached its maximum of 751 029 US Dollar in 2012.
