Naphtha receipts in South Korea declines in May 2018

According to adjusted numbers published by JODI Data, compared with the previous month the indicator decreased by 9.29 percent. The variable diminished from 1 555.5 thousand barrels to 1 411 thousand barrels, as it follows the tendency of the previous month when it dropped by 16.82 percent. In 2017, the indicator was going up by 21.38 percent and reached 1 640.5 thousand barrels in May of the year before. Year-on-year, this pinpoints a -13.99 percent change between May 2017 and the same month one year later. South Korea saw a rise of 72.92% in naphtha receipts during the last 9 years. Besides, the naphtha receipts is now bigger than its average which equals 1 033.09 thousand barrels with a negligible overall increase since the 2009. It hit its all-time high of 3 026 thousand barrels in October 2016 and record low of 76.5 thousand barrels in April 2011.
