Import of essential oils of peppermint to Algeria rises in 2017

Essential oils import strongly rose by 117.56% compared with the prior year, revised figures from United Nations Statistical Office highlight. The variable grew greatly from 262 kilogram in 2016 to 570 kilogram previous year, in contrast to the prior year when it dropped by 95.12 percent. Algeria saw a rise of 43.22% in essential oils import during the last 26 years. Though, it has attained a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.25% over the last five years with a marginal overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 1 062.08 kilogram from 1992 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 5 364 kilogram in 2015 and record low of 7 kilogram in 1999.
