Sunflower seed oil consumption in Syria: Decline in 2017

Sunflower seed oil consumption went down slightly by 3.7% in comparison to the prior year, updated statistics from U.S. Department of Agriculture illustrate. The variable negligibly dropped from 135 thousand tonnes to 130 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it fell by 6.9%. The overall changes for the prior 36 years reached a raise of 12 900%. Still it has attained a negative average annual growth rate of 0.01 percent during the last five years with a negligible overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 41.81 thousand tonnes from 1982 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 150 thousand tonnes in 2014 and record low of 1 thousand tonnes in 1984.
