Import of nuts of iron or steel to Jamaica grows in 2017

Metal products import grew sharply by 94.03% in 2017, revised numbers from United Nations Statistical Office indicate. The indicator greatly rose from 173 535 kilogram in 2016 to 336 711.88 kilogram previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it climbed by 193.41%. Jamaica saw a rise of 549.92% in metal products import over the past 19 years. Moreover, it has shown the CAGR of 0.4% during the last five years with a negligible overall increase since the 1999. It averaged 156 215.63 kilogram from 1999 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 959 637 kilogram in 2007 and record low of 41 584 kilogram in 2002.
