According to refreshed figures issued by European Commission, flax yarn export dropped strongly by 81.32 percent in 2017. The variable fell sharply by 429 920 Euro, in comparison to the previous year when it climbed by 11.82 percent. The overall changes for the prior 15 years hit a rise of 36.05%. However, it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.38 percent over the 5 years with a slight overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 435 132.67 Euro from 2003 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 1 425 340 Euro in 2011 and record low of 28 650 Euro in 2008.
