Gas and diesel refinery output in Canada drops in May 2018

Gas and diesel oil production barely fell by 3.37% compared with the previous month, updated statistics from JODI Data highlight. It reached its 16-year low as the variable decreased slightly by 70 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the prior month when it diminished by 24.63 percent. When looking at the year before, it can be reported that the indicator was growing by 5.42 percent and attained 2 507 thousand tonnes in May. When examining the year-on-year setting, a -19.9 percent decrease can be announced between May 2017 and May of the year after. Canada saw a drop of 24.74% in gas and diesel oil production during the last 16 years. As well as the gas and diesel oil production is now lower than its average which equals 2 551.73 thousand tonnes with a overall decline since the start of observations. It hit its maximum of 2 974 thousand tonnes in December 2012.
