Import of barley to South Africa: Raise in 2017

Barley import strongly rose by 166 020.28 percent in 2017, according to figures released by United Nations Statistical Office. Barley import grew sharply by 41 506 731 kilogram, in contrast to the previous year when it diminished by 99.98 percent. South Africa saw a drop of 72.33% in barley import during the last 18 years. As well as it has had the CAGR of 0.06% during the last five years with a modest overall decline since the start of time series. It averaged 76 936 003.61 kilogram from 2000 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 195 840 480 kilogram in 2002 and record low of 25 001 kilogram in 2016.
