Natural gas closing stocks in France: Rise in June 2018

According to revised figures released by JODI Data, natural gas stocks greatly increased by 49.45 percent compared to the prior month. Natural gas stocks grew strongly from 3 480 million cubic meters to 5 201 million cubic meters, as it follows the tendency of the previous month when it rose by 104.95 percent. June 2017, the indicator went up by 19.88 percent and attained 5 464 million cubic meters. When examining the year-on-year setting, a -4.81 percent diminution can be noted between June 2017 and the same month in 2018. France saw a fall of 20.02% in natural gas stocks over the past 8 years. Furthermore, the natural gas stocks is now smaller than its average which equals 6 719.24 million cubic meters with a negligible overall decrease since the 2010. It reached its all-time high of 11 593 million cubic meters in October 2011 and record low of 869 million cubic meters in March 2018.
