Natural gas closing stocks in France: Increase in April 2018

According to updated statistics issued by JODI Data, in comparison with the previous month the indicator went up greatly by 92.11%. Natural gas stocks increased sharply from 900 million cubic meters to 1 729 million cubic meters, contrarily to the prior month when it declined by 59.77 percent. The same month in 2017, the variable climbed by 26.24% and attained 3 430 million cubic meters. This shows a -49.59 percent fluctuation between April 2017 and the same month one year later. The overall changes for the previous 8 years reached a decrease of 73.41%. Moreover, the natural gas stocks is now smaller than its average which equals 6 768.36 million cubic meters with a negligible overall diminution since the start of observations. It hit its all-time high of 11 593 million cubic meters in October 2011 and record low of 900 million cubic meters in March 2018.
