Liquefied petroleum gas demand in Hong Kong: Raise in May 2018

The variable climbed by 9.59 percent in comparison to the prior month, revised statistics from JODI Data reveal. The indicator went up from 288.27 thousand barrels to 315.91 thousand barrels, as it follows the tendency of the previous month when it grew by 11.29 percent. When taking into account the previous year, it can be established that the variable was increasing by 2.73 percent and reached 342.06 thousand barrels in May. In sum, the indicator was -7.64 percent lower in May 2017 than in May 2018. Hong Kong saw a diminution of 4.01% in liquefied petroleum gas demand during the last 16 years. Compared to its average, the liquefied petroleum gas demand is now lower as the mean equals 374.15 thousand barrels with a overall decrease since the start of observations. It attained its all-time high of 768.9 thousand barrels in January 2008 and record low of 226.2 thousand barrels in February 2018.
