Export of fresh or chilled leeks from Hungary grows in 2016

According to numbers released by United Nations Statistical Office, export of fresh or chilled leeks greatly climbed by 50.28 percent in 2016. The variable strongly rose by 48 470 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it grew by 19.39 percent. Hungary saw a drop of 9.5% in export of fresh or chilled leeks during the last 25 years. Besides, it has shown a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.03% during the last 5 years with a negligible overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 82 655.08 kilogram from 1992 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 236 900 kilogram in 2001 and record low of 5 812 kilogram in 1997.
