Export of slates and boards with writing or drawing surfaces from Sri Lanka: Rise in 2017

In 2017 consumer goods export strongly grew by 406.3 percent, adjusted statistics from United Nations Statistical Office reveal. The indicator sharply went up from 1 353 US Dollar in 2016 to 6 850.3 US Dollar previous year, contrarily to the prior year when it fell by 27.22%. Sri Lanka saw a growth of 13 880.2% in consumer goods export during the last 28 years. Furthermore, it has had a 2.12% CAGR over the five years with a slight overall drop since the start of time series. It averaged 7 834.05 US Dollar from 1990 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 46 852 US Dollar in 2001 and record low of 10 US Dollar in 2011.
