Primary petroleum products production in United Kingdom drops in May 2018

The indicator fell by 10.88 percent in comparison to the prior month, according to revised figures announced by JODI Data. The variable diminished from 1 133.58 thousand barrels per day to 1 010.27 thousand barrels per day, in contrast to the previous month when it grew by 12.13%. One year earlier, the indicator was increasing by 2.61% and reached 1 037.26 thousand barrels per day the same month one year earlier. In sum, the variable was -2.6% smaller in May 2017 than in May of the year after. United Kingdom saw a diminution of 35.89% in primary petroleum products production during the last 9 years. Moreover, the primary petroleum products production is now lower than its average which equals 1 066.33 thousand barrels per day with a marginal overall decline since the start of time series. It attained its all-time high of 1 627.15 thousand barrels per day in April 2009 and record low of 524.61 thousand barrels per day in August 2014.
