Import of yarn of artificial staple fibres packaged for retail sale to Netherlands rises in 2017

Yarn import rose by 21.18 percent in 2017, according to updated figures announced by European Commission. The indicator grew by 1 800 kilogram, compared to the prior year when it declined by 83.84 percent. Netherlands saw a rise of 83.93% in yarn import over the past 10 years. However, it has shown a fall at a 0.19 percent compound average annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a negligible overall decline since the start of time series. It averaged 29 810 kilogram from 2008 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 134 700 kilogram in 2011 and record low of 2 300 kilogram in 2012.
