The variable strongly dropped by 65.87 percent in 2016, according to new statistics published by European Commission. The indicator fell sharply by 8 300 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it went down by 34.03%. The overall changes for the prior 12 years reached a growth of 95.45%. However, it has attained a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.22 percent during the five years with a negligible overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 10 416.67 kilogram from 2005 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 27 100 kilogram in 2013 and record low of 200 kilogram in 2007.
