Import of fresh or chilled lamb carcasses and half carcasses to Thailand climbs in 2016

Lamb import strongly rose by 213.43 percent in comparison with the prior year, according to figures published by United Nations Statistical Office. The variable increased sharply from 67 kilogram in 2015 to 210 kilogram previous year, versus the prior year when it diminished by 85.4%. Thailand saw a decrease of 97.02% in lamb import during the last 29 years. Besides, it has shown a diminution at a 0.38 percent compound average annual growth rate over the five years with a marginal overall fall since the 1988. It averaged 2 721.86 kilogram from 1988 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 19 462 kilogram in 2007 and record low of 66 kilogram in 1990.
