Production of yarn of artificial staple fibres packaged for retail sale in European Union: Fall in 2017

European Commission reported that yarn production dropped by 20.1% in 2017. The variable diminished by 263 980 kilogram, in comparison to the previous year when it went up by 8.21%. European Union saw a drop of 43.4% in yarn production during the last 10 years. Moreover, it has attained an increase at a 0.03% CAGR during the 5 years with a slight overall diminution since the start of time series. It averaged 1 222 865.6 kilogram from 2008 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 1 854 490 kilogram in 2008 and record low of 820 802 kilogram in 2014.
