Import of pistachios to Fiji climbs in 2016

In comparison with the previous year pistachios import strongly rose by 67.37 percent, according to figures published by United Nations Statistical Office. Pistachios import grew greatly by 351 kilogram, versus the prior year when it went down by 47.16 percent. Fiji saw a raise of 1 306.45% in pistachios import during the last 15 years. Likewise, it has had a 0.1 percent compound annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a negligible overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 979.73 kilogram from 2002 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 2 374 kilogram in 2009 and record low of 62 kilogram in 2002.
