Import of bituminous or oil shale and tar sands to China drops in 2016

In 2016 bituminous import decreased greatly by 92.04 percent, according to adjusted numbers released by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator dropped strongly by 37 288 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went down by 39.96%. China saw a rise of 2 755.75% in bituminous import during the last 25 years. Still it has shown a decrease at a 0.35% compound annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a slight overall growth since the 1992. It averaged 73 793.04 US Dollar from 1992 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 499 856 US Dollar in 2007 and record low of 101 US Dollar in 1993.
